My grandmother lived in this house when she was a little girl. Daughter of Frank and Veda Franks. I loved the barns with the ads. This is west of Wawaka, IN on US 6.
I remember that painted barn! Rices lived in the house across from it when I knew it, which would've been in the 80's. One of the sons helped my grandfather milk cows and do other farm stuff sometimes. Of course the barn is gone now and the approximate location of the Harry Stuff Brewing Company.
The barn in the photo was a Kentucky Club tobacco barn and is ID'd as KCB 14-57-05 on the Mail Pouch Barnstormer's website. The barn to the rear of and perpendicular to the Kentucky Club Barn was a Mail Pouch barn and is ID'd as MPB 14-57-01 on the Mail Pouch Barnstormer's website.
