I will never forget moving out of town to this little 10 acre farm. I was 8 years old when we moved out to the farm which would have been 1983 I believe. I was 3 years old when this photo was taken. Some great memories were made on this farm of a family of 6. I was the oldest with 3 younger brothers. We knew every inch of this farm and for miles surrounding. This house was a 100 years old when we moved into it. It was a 2 story house with 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath. Me and my 3 brothers shared one room with 2 twin beds and 1 bunk bed. We heated with coal and firewood and no air conditioning during the summer. We used box fans in the window to keep cool at night. This farm had a hog barn, chicken coop,corn crib,small machine shed, a underground cellar and a tool shed. My Dad was a hobby farmer who loved the farm. We all worked hard but we all had fun at the same time. We had a huge garden, we raised and butchered our own chickens. We raised laying hens as well as farowed some sows. We always had a dog and a bunch of kittens. It was such a peaceful place to live and ill never forget it.
