This house was Mrs Nettie Taylor’s house at Buel. It was bought by Darold B and Laura E. Riley then sold to their son Darold J. Riley who sold it to his nephew Jared Stinnett in December 2017. It has since been torn down in 2022. This house was over 130 years old.

This house was built on 1907.

Changes to the property in the pic, prior to me buying it are the roof of the house had developed a leak and the inside wiring was stripped out, stolen and a large stained glass window in the parlor room was stolen by neighbors. The wrap around porch had also been torn off. After selling the property to my nephew along with the property in pic 30-SMC-9 the house in this pic was torn down. The house in this pic was built in the 1907. After this house was purchased my dad and oldest brother added a bathroom and a septic tank, repaired several other things and my brother lived in it with his family. A few years later I also lived in it with my family. A few years after that my oldest son lived in this house for a few years and then one of my sisters lived in it with her family. Prior to me buying the property the land was used for raising tobacco. This property contained 8 acres. Photo 30-SMC-9 which contained 1 1/2 acres which was our family’s original home became joined with this farm along with another property east of this property that has no pic. After I purchased the entire 3 property’s the land was sown in grass and fenced for horses. 3 tobacco barns had stalls added and a loft for hay also added to the big barn. Since I sold it to my nephew Jared Stinnett the fences have all been removed, the house has been torn down, some trees removed and is now used for his trucking company. A large pole barn has been built close to the prior location of this house.
