I grew up here! My father, Wallace Boyd did as well. The remnants of the original house are still visible to the right of the existing house. Much has changed, the house, barn and garage are all that remain today. The buildings to the left of the driveway in order from front to back are the "picker" shack, garage, hen house and potato house. A new leach field was underway at the time of this picture. My grandparents, John "Jack" and Katie Boyd farmed here for many years. The farm was left to my father who continued farming with my Mom at his side for many more years. In my opinion, it is still one of the prettiest farms around.

East Ridge road ? Mars Hill? went to school with Boyd's and dated a Boyd who live out near the border . related to Terry Boyd ??? worked at the PBS station on the mountain
