The Seseme Rest. Bennett Dr. Caribou. Where Maine Bank is now. (old Yusefs location)

Moved the location to the right location.

This is The Sesame Rest and car hop on Bennett Dr in Caribou, Maine.
The building to the right is Plourde Furniture.
I worked there for 22 years

It's been more than 40 years and I still remember the best pizza burgers at Seseme!

Used to go there in the late '60s when I was stationed at Loring AFB. After a recent visit to the area, some say that the Burger Boy on Sweden St. was the site of the old Seseme Restaurant. So confused..

The place for teens in Caribou. Car hops, great food,
Music. Caribou’s American Graffiti. Spent
Many nights there.

My sister and I worked there behind the counter and as car hops. While Sesames and Burger Boy were owned by the same person, Ronnie Smith, they were at opposite sides of Caribou. Ronnie was the best person to work for! As teens, we would “tool around town “ between the two.
I don’t remember serving pizza burgers at Sesemes. That was a Burger Boy option.
We did have great lobster rolls though.

one of my vivid earliest memories. I was 3 in 1959 and Daddy was stationed at Loring. He took us there often. OHHH the pop when biting into that footlong hot dog!

Hi Tegan,

Thank you for sharing this lovely memory with us! It sounds like your dad made some great memories with you all in Aroostook County.

Do you have any other memories from that time period? It would be interesting to hear more about what it was like growing up in rural America. Also, what do you think has changed since the photo was taken in 1965?

Looking forward to hearing more from you!
