Van Buren Hospital, Van Buren, ME.

I was born in this hospital, and remember going in with my father to visit my mom when my younger brother, John was later born there. In high school, I worked there part-time as a receptionist in 1980-1981.

My Aunt was a nurse there in the 60's and 70's Anita Martin was her name.

I remember the kid beds. They caged you in lol. You couldn't get up if you wanted to.

My Sister and brother were born there, in 1963 and 1966.

I am now a retired nurse but I worked at the Van Buren Hospital for 15 years, from 1973 to 1988.

What year did they close the hospital.
