Long Lake Sporting Club, Sinclair, ME.

Sporting club.
! a great place to eat and drink.

THAT USED TO BE MY DAD;S SPORTING CLUB; HIS NAME WAS BLACK JOE. WE WERE 5 KIDS, ROBERTA, BERT,JANELLE, CAROL AND DIANE.BEST PLACE DURING THE 50;S AND 60;S ALOT OF GREAT MEMORIES WITH THE RECORDS HOP, AND THE FLY BOYS OF LIMESTONE,,..LOL

my dad albert Ouellette who use to work for black joe lived in the first big camp with his wife until there was a fire.

my brother Roger Ouellette was born in 45 in the first big camp.

I think everyone loved that place. Mr. Black Joe Frank's wife was my Mom's cousin (Bourgoin)

Oh wow, this has changed a bit! Makes sense and is good to see all the extra docks out there, from then to now! My brother and sister have worked there, as well as me almost getting into an accident in the driveway there lol!

My father worked there during WW II. My father lived within walking distance from the sporting camp. I've been there on vacation and remember Joe Frank. As a young boy a had a crush on his daughter, a few years later I was in the Marines and on my way to Vietnam via Okinawa. I met another Marine on his way home. We talked and I found out he was from Sinclair. I told him about Joe Frank's pretty daughterand he said he New her too. In fact he married her.Small world.
