Bill Bishop Place route 6 Carroll

This is my great aunt and uncles home, Bill and Eva Bishop. I used to love to go there and roam around. Miss those days.

My great great grand father Zadoc Bishop built the portion of the home facing Rt.6.He married Emily Lothrop of Leeds. Zadoc was a farmer with the frist harvestable fields in Carroll.. My great grandfather George Roscoe Bishop built the other portion. He married Ella Brown Oct.17,1896. She was Mid-wife to over 200 births from 1899 to 1940. She was an accomplished artist using oils, and watercolor. They had 4 children, William my grandfather, Jenny McKinnon ,Myra Weatherbee, and Uncle Walter. George was a beautiful finish carpenter, potatoe and dairy farmer. William married my grandmother Eva May McIntyre they had my Mum Patsy Ann Flynn. Bill was a successful Dairy farmer. This farmhouse was also the location of Carroll Post Office. Gram was Post Master & Gramp was clerk in the 60's. When my grandfather was a boy the part of the barn that ran almost the length of the field was hit by lighting and burned. You can see some of the granite blocks in the photo near the fencing. The barn caught fire again when I was a teenager and we lost the entire farm. Gram and Gramp Bishop built a small home on the site with help from their neighbors. So thankful to see the farm whole again, so many memories. Gram always said she lived on the tough-end of Carroll, but if you ask me they didn't come any tougher than Bill and Eva Bishop.

Ella Bishop was my great aunt. Uncle Ross, her husband, was my grandmother Lindsay's (Jenny Lindsay) brother. I have wonderful memories of summers visiting them and I remember Patsy (my cousin) well. Aunt Ella had a collie named Dime.

I would love to know if Patsy is still alive and where she lives. I am Eula Thibodeau Morrison, my father was Von and my mother was Marion Ella Lindsay, her mother was Jennie Biship. I

Patsy still with us, she moved back to where she grew up as a little girl. She would love to hear from you.

Please give Patsy my email address and/or if she texts 407-655-5103. Or send me info to contact her. Thank you so much!
