Former Perry's Store on Rt 1 in Stockton Springs. Famous for their Crab Rolls, and the owners prized pig that was kept in a pen out back. The pig is still buried in a small plot out behind the building. Although the store was cramped, they offered a variety of drinks, snacks, a few grocery items, newspapers, and made hot food and sandwiches to go, and always had a few locals hanging out, telling stories and drinking coffee. Converted to Sunoco Gas when Exxon / Mobil left Maine. Store was purchased by Maine Maritime Energy after the original owner passed away, along with another larger store in Searsport (Which was owned by my aunt prior), with assurances that the store would remain open and continue to sell their famous Crab Rolls, however, after a few months Maine Maritime Energy closed the location and it is now rented out as used car dealership.
