My father knew LaValley. He was the owner around 1972-74-ish and, from what my father said, later regretted selling it when he did. He tried to open another ice cream stand on 110 in Haverhill (across the street from what is now Dunn's Equipment, a bit further toward Merrimac; the building is still there and is a farmstand now), but it didn't last long, as it wasn't the best location, and he never did the same business that he had in Amesbury.

This was Delaneys when I was a kid. I lived in the Hunt Rd and we used to walk down for a treat. I am 71 so that was years ago

Delaney is who my dad worked for as a teen. Then Antonelli(sp) then dad(Jim Lavalley) bought from Mrs. Antonelli. Then it was sold to Dick & June, and then Hodges.
