Home built in 1870, owned by Howard (d. about 1999) and Violet (d. 2016) Bouts at the time of the photo, they had 5 biological children and 1 adopted child. Howard was a prominent figure in the Ingham County Sheriff's Mounted Division and local 4H groups.
