John F Farrell Elementary School

Farrell Elementary School, part of the Yale school district, is located at 3300 Kinney Road (M-19) in Emmett, Michigan. It is on the east side of the street and is named after the much beloved Catholic Priest, Father John Farrell, who was the pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He visited my Aunt Catherine and Uncle John and told them their daughter was too smart not to go to college and offered to pay the tuition himself if they could not afford it. They paid and she graduated from MSU.
