This factory is completely gone. The red pin marks the former location.

A view of what was originally the Sheffield Car Company complex established in 1881. Sheffield merged with the Fairbanks-Morse Co. in 1918. Essex Wire (A division of the Midland Wire Corp) took over the site in the 1960s. Decatur Elevator used the facility for grain storage from the late 1980s thru 1992. The City of Three Rivers acquired the property in 1995. It was sold to Clark Logic in 2011.

The building in the lower right was Fiber Converters. In the bunch of trees between the railroad lines and Broadway were two houses. I lived in one of them in the 1980s. The white building on the right was the junkyard.
