Store on Rt 12 in Mottville. Gone since the early 1980s, the red pin marks the former location.
Mottville Grocery.
This was once Bisbee's General Store. The store was originally on the corner of the Chicago Road (US-112, US-12) and Union Street. The pile of stones at the upper edge of the photograph was a piling for the covered wooden bridge that carried the Chicago Road traffic over the St. Joseph River. The angled entry door at the right of the store's facade faced the corner of the roads.
