This farm sat on the west side of Canton Center at Palmer Road, which is seen slightly at bottom left. The entire farm was razed in the early 90's to make way for The Links at Pheasant Run neighborhood. Today, Palmer Road extends across Canton Center to the west and becomes Summit Parkway and there is a traffic light at this intersection. Summit Parkway goes all the way through to Beck Road and offers "back" entrances to Heritage Park, Summit on the Park, and Pheasant Run Golf Club. Every corner of this intersection is now developed with neighborhoods.
Just next to this home to the south is the infamous Haggerty House that was bulit in 1896 by John S. Haggerty, former Michigan Secretary of State from 1927-1929. It was later owned by millionaire recluse John Lasko, who passed in 2011 and was buried on the property. He formed a trust to oversee the future of the home and grounds which is managed by a nephew. Interestingly, the trust forbids any visitors to the property as well as any changes to the home, grounds, or out buildings.
