This was orginally August Burgstahler's homestead farm, he built it in the 1800's, raised his family there, then August's son, John, bought it and rented it out, John's son Howard lived there n' raised his family there, then George Mueller bought it to rent out to families that worked for him.
My dad n' mom lived there working dairy for Mueller from 1956-61 and then we (dad/mom) returned there and worked for Elmer Scharmer raising hogs from 1963-76 as Elmer was renting it from George Mueller. So I grew up there, we call it the homeplace farm, it was a wonderful place to grow up.
