Mr. Ed's Drive In
there's a motor cycle shop on the north side of the building
This is Mr. Ed's Drive In, it's known as a landmark in the area. The address is 3192 US Highway 65. It opened April 1, 1963. We've owned it 35 years, since April 1984. This picture would have been taken a couple of years after we took it over. The old neon sign is gone and there is a building just in front of the shed to the north. It currently is Bikeworx, a motorcycle shop ran by our son-in-law, Randy Lewis. There's a nice picnic area with shade trees at the right rear of the building. US Highway 65 has been widened and now has a turn lane. Lots of wonderful memories here and creating more! Owners, Jim & Becky Reynolds
Every Chance we Get
How many drag races did Chronister run on 65 from Mr. Ed's years ago? The sounds from that Chevelle could be heard for three miles, or more.
