I have no known history, altho my ancestors lived in the area, I don't know where. This house fascinates me and I have to wonder why so many views, but no comments or history offered?

This is my parents home and farm. IK It has been many years since you commented but perhaps this will reach you :)

I absolutely love this house! Your family is so lucky.

Can you share what type of farming happened there? Also, have there been significant changes to the property since the photo was taken in 1984?

Farm was traditionally dairy, dairy cows were sold in March of 2014, we still do hay, and I raise sheep and poultry, the two large silos are gone, as is the second farm house in the lower right corner. Otherwise looks much the same.

I would love to know what year the house was built and any original family history. Was your family the original builders/owners? It's just such a beautiful, haunting vision from the Thruway, I have been obsessed with looking up every time I drive by.

We were not the original builders, my grandparents purchased the farm to the left first, started their family there, paid for both places selling strawberries, piglets and milk. They bought the farm from the Diamond family I believe in the mid 1940's. It's been in our family since.

Excuse me to the right, apparently I dont know my left from my right today.
