This was the Ford dealership on Yadkinville rd., it is now All American Pawn. House and trailers are gone.

Wrong. This is not the site of All American Pawn (formally All American Ford). All American Ford and formally Reavis Ford was located on Yadkinville Rd. This may be a Ford Dealership, but I think it was a Pontiac Dealership earlier. The house with the columns is the old "Mumford" house. It is not there now. The little house (center-left) was a house that was moved from Mumford Drive to that site on Garner Street. I watched them move it as a 9 year old. It is still there. You can see Garner Street (dirt road then) in front of that house. The main road at the bottom is Wilkesboro Street. Downtown Mocksville is to the right, Mumford Drive to the left. The row of Ford cars is approximately where a pharmacy building was later built in the large parking lot of an old Lowes Food store (now a Rescue House of some sort). In the back lot of that dealership can be seen junk cars. I played in those junk cars which included a Shorty York #34 or #43 race car.

Interesting information Kim! Most buildings here are now gone, but some evidence still remains. As Kim mentioned the small house is still there. Also, the wide driveway leading up to the Mumford house is still there. Lambert Funeral Home is now located where the Mumford house was.

This was Pontiac dealership in the 1950s, but when Reavis took over Ford in 1960, he took over this location for a few years before building the new building on Yadkinville Road.
