This was the Finch Shoemaker Auto Dealer on route 72. It used to be called Rt. 68 North of Springfield. It's been out of business for a long time.
I worked here. Faye Shoemaker owned it. She was great to work for.
I worked there from 1986 to 2000 .Faye retired and then it became Springfield Ford . Faye and Bill were really wonderful people to work for .I think back in the day it was originally Floyd Dugan Ford
It was Jack Mefford in this photo.
The last dealership before closing was Buckeye Ford. This building was purchased and razed a couple of years ago by Wheeler Trucking It is now a drive away for vehicles assembled at Navistar down the road.
