I grew up on the farm at the top of Whinnery Rd. Not a lot in the area has changed, but the farm is now gone. Kind of strange to see a place you grew up in gone.
I grew up on Franklin st , spent a lot of my days playing and riding my bike in the parking lot, also they had penny candy at the store .
I grew up on Whinnery Road and have many fond memories of walking or riding my bike to the plaza. In the 1960s through 1980s, one could visit the doctor, do laundry, get groceries, get a haircut and paint ceramics in that plaza.
I remember going to Dr. McConnors there when I was a kid
I lived on Franklin Avenue and we would go there all the time. The Flower Loft was perhaps my favorite place there. They had so many beautiful arrangements and it smelled amazing in there!
