My Dad bought that place n it is still in my family.
Yes my great grandfather bought it and I am now living in the house with my family.
The big brick building has been torn down The bricks from the building were used to brick the little white house where TAylorlives. The barns are still useable. Taylor's dad now farms that land
The large building on the left was originally the Crawford County Infirmary and the farm that was a part of it; it was built and opened around 1865-66. The Ohio Historical Society has a sketch of it in the 1800's https://www.ohiomemory.org/digital/co...
Here is a much newer photo of the smaller house on the right and barn: https://vintageaerial.com/photos/ohio...
I just have a question. I discovered this Crawford County Infirmary Cemetery as I drove into Bucyrus. I am not a local. I drove down the lane to find an almost empty yard surrounded by a corn field. How many graves are located in that plot of land? There are only about 6-8 tombstones. Just curious. The whole thing is odd. Just a sign and a lane. Where were the buildings compared to the "cemetery"?
Building was just on the north side of Route 19, Cemetery on south side
