Hollansburg School in Hollansburg Ohio, that became a part of the Tri-Village Local School District. The Tri-Village district consolidated all of their buildings into a single, new K-12 building in New Madison and tore down all of the older building the district owned including this one.
I believe this was the Harrison Township school and Westmont High School in the past as well.
In 1952 Hollansburg and Palestine schools merged and this became Westmont High School. Palestine became the 1-7 grade school. The rear extension was built after I graduated (in 1954), so this is officially the Westmont High School when this picture was taken. It was Westmont that merged with New Madison. When joining with New Madison, the area lower grades were moved to Hollansburg, and the Palestine school was sold to Robert Fraley, who developed it as a retreat.
Oops! error: it was 1-8th grades.
