We have lived in this house since 1991. Belonged to the Miller family before us.
We lived there from 1969-1991. We bought it at an estate sale from the Sammis family. I believe they built the farm. Not sure when it was built. Late 1800's- early 1900's?
Barn and grainery burnt down February 3, 1980. Barn was built with 1' square oak beams and wood pegs. Had hay hooks in the barn loft. As kids we loved to swing on the hay rope! Many happy memories there! π
I believe it was built in the 1860's. I found an 1863 penny in the garden by the house anyway.
I think you are right Glenn, from what I found at the Historical Society.
