In 1963 the George D. Zimmer farm just south of RR track and just north of Hayden Run. Address was still Hilliard then. My father Pearl and his brother Leroy and sister Gladys grew up on this farm. George was a dairy farmer most of his life having mostly Guernsey's, but had a smattering of Jerseys. He used Percheron horses to till the land until modern machinery took over. He leased the farm out as he got older and eventually moved to Sebring, Florida.

In 2015 Winters Run Road goes back to an allotment that was built on his land. The road comes in from about the middle of his property and two small lakes were made up near the road on the old farm.

George Zimmer was my great grandfather; it is really cool to see where my grandfather (Leroy Zimmer) grew up!
