Crowell's service station and store. Torn down by 1971. SW corner of Rt 120 and Rt 109 in Seward.
This is a picture of Duckett's Seward Store, between 1966-1967. Probably purchased from the Crowells. Owned by my father, William Russell Duckett, and I am James Duckett, his youngest son. That is my 1966 Chevy Truck in the driveway, my fathers '59 Pontiac Stationwagon he rolled in Arizona but still managed to drive it home. My sisters '62 Corvair is next to our '66 Impala convertible. I grew up here until 1967 when it was torn down and we moved to Zephyrhills, Florida. The house facing it was the residence of Reverend Cox, although not sure if he rented or owned. I still remember when the plane flew over the area taking pictures which back then was a really big thing!
