Coultraps Speed Shop 3784 Cadiz-Dennison Rd
Cadiz, OH 43907

Started by my great aunt and uncle, Ed and Margaret Coultrap. The Speed Shop was built as an additional attachment on the right of Coultrap's Supermarket "The World's Most Unusual Store".
Tom Coultrap ran the Speed Shop for many years, and last I heard, it is still open as EZ Tom's used cars. He has put a large garage working space and alignment center for his quality car sales. Behind the Speed Shop and the old tire sales storage.
Many of my family on my mother's side worked at Coultrap's in the clothing, grocery, hardware, and management. My mother worked there and met my dad, Harry George Coultrap, who is Tom's cousin. They him-hawed around together in their youth and Tom was into racing. Top fuel drag racing legend, Larry Dixon worked there periodically with Tom.
Ed Coultrap Jr. ran the Speed Shop for a short period of time until Tom returned to run the tire shop again in the 1990's.
The large store area was rented out to another proprietor who sold hardware and farm machinery.
Tom is still there selling quality used cars, last I heard.

I see it is still up for sale. Wish it was still operating. Loved that store.

You can see the outline of an oval track in the upper right. Was that an auto racing dirt track?

We drove an hour and a half from Lucas oh in the early 70s to get wheels and tires.
