The Harry Rowland farm on the SW corner of Bursley Rd (in the background) and SR 511, Rochester. It looks pretty much the same today with a row of silos added north of the barn.

In 1955 he won an award as one of his cows produced 812 pounds of butterfat in a year and 16,000 pounds of milk.

Featured in the Wellington Enterprise as "Mystery Farm" number 56 on December 27, 1956. Thanks to Cindy Kurpely of the Rochester Historical Society for providing the article. Search the Lorain County main page for "mystery" to see other farms featured.

The Rowland Farm. Still in the family.
