The Lorain County Farm Bureau, Rt 20, first building east of Rt 58, Oberlin. It has a wooden second story now and was a furniture restoration shop most recently.

UPDATE: It has just been torn down, April 2018.

This was my father's pipe organ factory in the late 50's early 60's. The sign used to say H.D. Blanchard Pipe Organs.

Thanks, Mark, that's excellent information. Enlarging the photo shows it still had your father's sign in 1969. The Farm Bureau listing was from 1954. A search of the Elyria Chronicle newspaper archives found over 100 mentions of your father, many are articles about working on organs. I see he worked on some of the organs in Oberlin.

Are the Elyria Chronicle newspaper archives found on newspaperarchive.com? As I remember it, the building was originally built as a showroom for the Tucker automobile. Has anything been built in its place?

Yes, the articles are available online. Nothing is there today, I was just eating at the Dairy Twist next door yesterday.
