West side of Indian Hollow Rd north of Whitney Rd, LaGrange Township. I believe this was the Mertz farm. Amazingly, this barn was saved and a new roof installed. It still looks good today.
Was owned by Lester Ebosh. The large building was to be his machine business, but the zoning was never approved. This happened in the late 1960's. Still owned by Ebosh family. Currently for sale.
Good update. The listing for A.F. Mertz is from 1954, the only good rural directory we have for Lorain County. It could also be the H. Dean farm, hard to tell as I have to count houses in the older high altitude aerials. I thought this barn was in disrepair but a closer look reveals they are just building it in this photo, determined by the braces holding up the walls. It was not here in the 1970 aerials so the timing is right.
