Looking West across Countyline to where Mi Tequilla's now sits
Phil's Shoes; North County Line Street. Buckeye Auto Wash and gas station is to the right, and Heinie's Motel is in the foreground. My brother's friend's parents owned Heinie's.
I remember that Heinie's was sea (puke) green, and the Dunn's Lanes was behind it. Who remembers Dunn's aerial antenna with their "Dunn's Lanes" name attached to it in red and green neon letters? One of my friends pumped gas at Buckeye around 1983 or 1984. I think the car wash was shut down by then.
Today (2017), Phil's Shoes is the parking lot for Mi Tequila's Mexican Restaurant, Heinie's is now Superior Credit Union, and all that is left of Buckeye Auto Wash is the concrete foundation.
