Land was granted to George Reese around 1830s. House is said to have been built in 1836. The original brick drive to the farmstead came off Fox Avenue as Georgetown Road was not in existance. The farm has been owned and operated by the Slater family since 1944 and is now home to the Mack family (5th generation Slaters). The original barn was lost in a fire and was rebuilt around 1940. This home is one of 3 that were built by the Reese brothers in the 1830s. One is located on Rummell Road and one is on Fox Ave.
