This was our family's farm. I spent a lot of time out there growing up. The trees on this side of the street in the foreground are an apple orchard and the apples were used to make Krabill's famous Hard Cider. There is a small fishing pond just out of frame behind the apple trees where we would have picnics while we tried to catch fish. The main farm house and the large barn are still standing. The silo, summer house, and the pig barn are all gone. The garage has been replaced with a metal building. Since this picture was taken in '77, it reminds me of the blizzard of '78. We were out there as kids digging tunnels in the massive snow drifts that were as tall as the summer house.
