I grew up in that house. My Grandpa Paul started building it. When Mom and Dad got married, they finished it as it was merely a crude shell of a house at that point. Dad didn't have the garage totally done when the picture was taken. Our Layton trailer is parked in front of the garage. Mom had it packed nearly every Friday so we could leave when Dad got home from work. Dad's garden is in the back. Mom's chestnut trees would have been to the left. She sold the chestnuts each fall.
