The building the the garage doors is now the Akron Boro Municipal building. The building to the left is now Royer’s Pharmacy. Route 272 (then rt222) in Akron
The building to the left of the shops with the five garage doors was, at the time of this photograph, an IGA Super Market. It burned in the late 1970's sustaining significant interior damage. It would be reborn as one of Royer Pharmacy's stores using the original "shell" of the building. Royer's would eventually go out of business in 2019. As of this writing, it has been purchased by a local insurance agency and is once again undergoing transformation into a new business.
...my mistake. Royer's went out of business in early 2020 (March).
