22 The Lake House 737 Route 115 at Cherry Valley Road Saylorsburg (closed as a hotel, now used as haunted ҜHotel of Horrorҝ)

In its day in the first part of the 20th Century the Lake House was a grand hotel.

There has been a Hotel on this site supposedly since the 1820s. The Lake House was built on the site and then around the turn of the century the brick company expanded the hotel to the size it is today. It has been mentioned in books that local Civil War regiment presented arms here. Sadly, the majestic old girl fell prey to those that wanted to make money rather than preserve our local history. Hamilton Township is the second oldest Township in Monroe as settlers like. Charles Saylors travel the natural gap , the Wind Gap to arrive here ..
