It was the Lily Pond at this time on saylors lake.

It started out as Weingartners tea room Joe , a WWll veteran leaped as a result of being wounded and Nern Simon ,his wife , ran this place during the time this photo was taken.. They had more of a bar and dance business.. Later , the Reidmillers would buy it and turn it mainly in a restaurant . A few others tried to make it as both a bar and eating place such as The Glacier ( called that because Saylors Lake is a kettle lake formed by glacier. It sits on this lake ) as of 2020 it is called The Lakeside. I hope they reopened soon as the pandemic had them temporarily close their doors.

And it is NOT nor ever was The Saylors Inn

I knew this as Riedmiller's Restaurant, owned and operated by Robert & Betty Riedmiller. This was my first job at the age of 14.

There was a full mount bear that was here and now it is at the Pleasant Valley Middle School Adm Office foyer.
