The Poplar Springs neighborhood was built on this farmland. The old farmhouse still stands along Route 851.

I grew up there. We moved in on Thanksgiving Day, 1976. The old bank barn was set on fire during the crash of arsons and was the 2nd barn to go after the Lanius barn. My folks sold it in the mid 80's, 86 or 87? It had the one of 2 remaining 2 story spring houses in the area. I sure miss that place. It's been sold off in pieces . So sad.
