The University Inn on N. W. Broad Street. You can see Cannonsburgh behind and the Shoney's Big Boy on the Right. The Motel Atlas, from 1959-1969, was located at 219 N. W. Broad Street next to the Shoney's Big Boy Restaurant. In 1969, the business sold and the motel name was changed to the University Inn.
Clyde McClaran said, "In later years (after 1985) the Edmonds Insurance Agency and Bill Hooten Realty had offices where the restaurant is pictured. Think the address was 219 North West Broad. Motel was University Inn by then."
Shannon Burnette Brown said, "It was still standing when I frequented the Shoneys next door, and as a kid (late 70s to early-mid 80s) I remember thinking it looked kinda creepy...lol."
