This was the Grapevine Motel on the corner of Northwest Highway and Starnes Street in Grapevine, TX. The address was 307 E. Northwest Highway. Grapevine Motel was built out of recycled lumber from Army barracks in 1946 by W. D. "Bill" Guest. At that time, Estill "Bud" Yates and Lovey Davis Buckner Yates owned the Palace Theatre. In 1947, they traded properties and the Yates ran the motel until they retired in 1968. I believe the motel was torn down in the 1980s. The lot remained vacant for many years. A new Braums Restaurant (Ice Cream and Burgers) was built there in 2017.
