While first established as a Holiday Inn, the name was eventually dropped sometime in the late 1980s, and became the Luray Inn Motel. By the mid to late 1990s, the motel underwent renovations and became the Days Inn by Wyndham Luray Shenandoah-the name it still operates under today.
