This is my grandparents, Ed and Judi Pomeroy's, dairy on the Willey's Lake Rd in Custer. They had purchased it from the Andreasen family in '65 or '66 believe. At the time this photo was taken they were likely milking 40 or 50 cows, whereas today we are at 40 or 50 times that amount. All of the buildings pictured are still standing except the hip roof barn and the silo that were both demolished in the '90s. The house has been added onto, lagoons and many new buildings have been built, but it's still a working farm and that's what's important.
