I grew up here from 1987 until 2002. The barn and shed were taken down but the silo was left up and we built a small barn next to the silo. The silo was turned into. Horse stall for my horse. We planted many pine trees all along the property and loved sledding on that hill and playing in the apple tree on the corner. The porch was updated on the house and the door on the second story removed.
Hi Sabrina! We love hearing about your memories of growing up in Dodge County. It sounds like there have been some significant changes to the property since the photo was taken in 1982. Can you tell us more about the type of farming your family did there? We're always curious to learn about the history of our aerial photos.
Hello! We did not farm at all on the property. I bought a horse in 1998 that we had there but otherwise no other farm animals. My parents put up a three car garage behind the house, and I believe there was a chicken coop maybe that was taken down? I think the people prior to us owned horses. I remember there was a horse stall in the back of the barn where our cat always had kittens.
