oh my! This is one of the first of the Dr Francis Paddock Farms and the barn in this image could well be the barn that is documented as having been built in a barn raising in an image held by the wisconsin state historical society. The building itself is gone now (2017) but the foundations of this and others in this image still remain. The dirt road on the left is part of the RIGHT OF WAY for the rail spur to support the harvesting of ice from Paddock Lake which is behind the photographer. The parking area in the foreground remains today once for the OLD SETTLERS PARK and today for the Park and the COUNTY DOG PARK called HARRIS DOG PARK. THe road is STH 50 and is true E=W and is today at this location 5 lanes and a center turn lane wide.
