This is the 'yellow' house that is across the street (US 151) from Lake Joy Campground . My family has now owned it for 15 years and I am moving into this home with myself. It has changed completely as the highway became a 4 lane, the bridge was extended and the road is very close to house now. All barns are still there but in very rough shape.

My family lived here for a time about 1980. The trees in the front had been removed by then. In the winter we would put on our ice skates and skate under the bridge to skate on the lake. We loved that big house. If the hardwood floors are not covered, there is a bullet hole in the front room. I have personal knowledge of that. :)

(Full disclosure: Marianee Taylor is my mom.)

This is the house from my childhood that is probably strongest in my memory. It is so strongly etched in my mind, even though I was only 6 or 7 at the time. I'm very glad that it is still loved. It's an amazing home.
