This was the Justen farm and Festert farm before that. My grandmother, Maria Freund Amann was born here in 1884.

This was the Hiller/Bauer and related families farm from the 1860s forward. My great great grandfather, Henry Hiller was the owner and then other relatives.

This was the Amann farm from the 1880s to the 1920s. My father, William Amann, was born here in 1914. Later owned by the Hertels and the Petersons, the house is still there today, but the farm buildings across the road are gone. Next door to the left was originally a school, has been a tavern for many years.

My ancestor Henry Ames 1802-1875 lived just north east of this and the "Ames School" was named after him. He also taught there, as did some of his grandchildren, and others family attended there as well.
