I remember the night the barn burned. Was going to bed and saw a glow to the east. Dad said it was a barn fire. He & I drove down to help. Mom called neighbors to make coffee and sandwiches for the volunteer fire men. We didn't help much, the whole barn was all burning. They lost many cows. What a horrible smell. Jim Meyers

Harold Roman farmed this place. I bailed hay for him in high school. He raised beef cattle.

My grandfather, Stanley Carpenter, worked this farm in the 50's.

This farm belonged to the Freys. Their grand daughter now owns it. She is married to my son.

Gary & Ann Turner lived here. Most of the building were destroyed in the 1967 tornado. Gary was the leader for the Garden Prairie Grasshoppers 4H club.

Don & Suzy Spotz owned this farm. Went to school with Chuck & Linda, their kids. The barn burned down in the 1970's after they sold the farm. We lived across the road. Many great memories.
