Hershel Miller was the road commissioner for a lot of years until Wayne Hendrix defeated him.

The house at the top of the photo is still there but remodeled. The house beside the monument is gone.

I remember both places quite well.

I knew several people who worked there.

My dad worked there as an electrician.
