This farm used to be at the NE corner of N. Fremont Center Rd. and Rt. 176, back in the days when there was such a thing. Fremont Center Rd. has now been rerouted to now intersect with Gilmer Rd., and you better believe this farm was mowed over in the process. Gilmer Rd. is shown along the bottom and Rt. 176 across the top. View is looking SE.
Berney and Celclie obenhauf
This farm property was owned by Bernard John Obenauf (1896-1976) and Cecilia Mary (Dutzler) Obenauf (1900-2001). The Obenauf's sold their farm cattle and equipment at an auction held on January 25, 1964. For many years the house remained but not the farm buildings. Fremont Center Rd. is located at the photo bottom. Work began in July 2001 to intersect Fremont Center Rd. with Gilmer Rd. and closing the access to Rte. 176.
