E. A. Raasch, Inc. 20732 W. State Rt. 176 (the business is listed as 20700), looking NW. Notice the tanker trailer below the watermark "NT", it says RAASCH. The business is still there to this day. Park Ave. is visible on the top right of photo and Rt. 176 is at the bottom left corner.

According to the Fremont Township 1907 plat map, Park Ave. was the original main road from Rockefeller (Mundelein today) into Ivanhoe. The road (Rte. 176) south of this area did not exist. According to a 1939 aerial, Rte. 176, heading west, bypassed Ivanhoe to the south and a fork in the road with Park Ave. taking the original route directly into Ivanhoe.

My uncle, E.A.Raasch and my dad were brothers.We lived next door to this house. We all played at the yard of this house and drank lots of coffee with my aunt. Great great times.
